usually around May (that is when we took our bloom shots here in Oregon)

The older one in our photos is at least 10' tall

we recommend full sun to partial shade

In fact, this rhododendron can bloom as early as January, depending on growing conditions. Hardy to 5F when protected from windchill, Lee's Scarlet can grow to 4' in height at maturity. Plant this medium sized rhododendron in partial shade and enjoy the early color in your garden!
